The Baptist hospital in Ogbomosho, Nigeria, grew out of this clinic in the house of Dr. George Green, the first FMB medical missionary in Africa. He used his kitchen table when he performed his first surgery in 1907. His patient was a four-year-old girl who had suffered burns and scars that left her leg deformed.
