In an area of Inner Mongolia, local herders are losing their land for the development of a power plant. For the herders, losing their land means losing their livelihood. Please pray for them to be fairly compensated. Also, please ask God to send the good news of the saving knowledge of Jesus to these herdsmen so that they will come to know and follow Him completely.pray4APAC@imb.org
Thank you for praying for the regional family conferences and regional women's meetings that will be held this year. The first of these events were held recently. Give thanks to God that among the 60 people attending the family conference, there was a renewed commitment in relationships, and in some situations, reconciliation occurred. In another location, 50 women came together for fellowship, sharing of experiences, and learning. Continue to pray for similar meetings that have been planned for the future.
Located in the north of France, near the Belgian border, the city of Lille (pronounced LEEL) has an amazing cuisine and culture. This area is known for its friendly people and rainy climate. The spiritual need in all of France is great, as only 1% of the population is evangelical Christian, and the need for the gospel in the North Department (similar to a province) is tremendous. There are 79 evangelical churches for the 2.6 million people who live in the North. That is roughly one church for every 33,000 people! And most churches are composed of 50 members or less. Even among such a great need, there are numerous churches shining the light of Christ as they live faithfully and seek to share the gospel with their friends, family, and coworkers. Please pray for the salvation of the people of northern France.
(NOO-bee-ans) - Thank you for praying for the Nubian people of northern Africa. Historically a Christian people, today most Nubians follow Islam. Some feel unwelcome, struggling in their birthplace, while others have great influence. Thank the Lord for local believers in one particular city who have an increasing burden for the Nubian people, desiring that they will hear the gospel! Pray for Nubian men and women to desire peace with God. Ask that they will seek out those who will share the gospel truth with them. Petition for miraculous encounters. Pray for Nubians to call on the Lord, for "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13 ESV).
Wafaa is a North African woman who has lived in Europe for many years. Although she has had a difficult life and spends much of her time caring for her teenage daughter with severe disabilities, she welcomes neighbors into her home and is known for her smile and cheerful attitude. Recently, Wafaa has had the opportunity to hear the gospel multiple times in conversations in her home. She asks basic questions but does not seem truly interested in learning more about Jesus. Please pray that these conversations will spark curiosity in her heart and that God will draw Wafaa to Himself. Ask Him to reveal Himself to her in a way that she will understand, and pray that she will find Him to be the source of true, eternal joy that is not dependent on circumstances. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict her of her sin and need for Christ, and pray that she will have the courage to seek Him.

The almost 9,000 Chinese in Zaragoza, in the northeast part of the Spanish Peninsula, comprise the third largest expat population after Morrocans and Nicaraguans. There is only one local Chinese church to serve them all. In June of this year, for their first time, this Chinese church will receive a volunteer team from Texas. "We will be hosting a Vacation Bible School and English Camp," workers said. "We will also be prayerwalking, evangelizing on the street, and mapping the city for later visitation. We pray our Chinese church will practice missions with the U.S. team and be encouraged to witness among Chinese and others in Zaragoza. We also want our Texan volunteers to have a challenging, rewarding, and satisfying experience. Pray with us for that, and that many believers and non-believers, Chinese children and youth will participate in the camp. Pray that each Texas and local Chinese volunteer will minister out of a life filled with Jesus' presence. Pray that the Sunday school and youth workers of this church will be strengthened and encouraged through this mission experience, and that the Lord will add more bilingual workers to serve the second generation in this church."pray4APAC@imb.org
The Kyrgyz of China reside mostly in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, particularly in the mountainous areas, and speak a dialect of the Kyrgyz language. Their traditional way of life is known for its deep-rooted nomadic culture. Like other ethnic groups in the region, the Kyrgyz face pressures from modernization and government policies, which sometimes challenge their traditional lifestyles. Despite this, they try to preserve their language, culture, and heritage. The Kyrgyz of China are Muslims, but they still maintain traditional Shamanistic folk practices, as well. Pray that Chinese believers will have a bold, compelling witness among them. Ask that Christian social media and online resources will reach many Kyrgyz with the gospel. Pray that the Kyrgyz Church in other countries will send mature believers to their kinsmen living in China.centralasianpeoples@protonmail.com
When a group of believers first met Maung, they were hesitant to share the gospel too passionately. "He's a very bad man," they explained. But they kept sharing because his wife was a new and passionate believer. Maung's wife, sensing spiritual opposition through her husband, began fasting and praying three times a week for him. She did this for months until the Lord, in His divine grace, answered her prayer. Maung has trusted in Christ and requested baptism. He's studying the Bible 1-2 times a week and is eager to learn more about God's Word. Praise the Lord for working through his wife's faithful prayer and fasting and for the prayers of so many around the world.pray4APAC@imb.org
