About This Project
Believers in Christ number less than one percent in Frankfurt, Germany, but the local church is gaining a vision to raise up church planters and establish new, healthy churches. The concept is for each new church to commit to planting ten more churches in the next ten years. Your gift will strengthen the Frankfurt Church Planting Center and train an increased number of new church planters, sending them out to establish gospel-spreading churches in unchurched communities throughout Frankfurt and beyond. Your support will catalyze a movement of the gospel in Frankfurt that leads to multiplying disciples, leaders, and churches, ultimately affecting not only German Frankfurt but the many unengaged unreached people groups that are flooding the city.
The Church Planting Center in Frankfurt is already mobilizing Germans into the harvest as local German pastors identify catalytic new leaders and plant reproducing churches. At the center, men from local churches and seminaries attend leadership training events which include mentoring by experienced urban church planters in an assessment-based process. The training is supported by the IMB in partnership with local churches, unions, and associations. Your gift will help a local-church-driven cooperative for church planting to take root in Frankfurt.
This unique opportunity will allow IMB personnel to partner with the church planting center to 1) identify leaders, 2) support church planters/teams, and 3) multiply leaders/churches/disciples. Your support of the Church Planting Center will allow new church planters to experience intensive mentoring that teaches them to impart fruitful skills, practices, and biblical foundations to others, effectively multiplying their efforts.
In the next five years, a globalization goal of all IMB workers is to mobilize 500 local believers to become global missionary partners serving on IMB teams.
