Overview

Journeymen are fully funded missionaries who serve as active members of an IMB missionary team. They engage lost people with the gospel, disciple new believers, and support the work of planting healthy churches, all while exploring the possibility of lifelong missionary service. As a Journeyman, you’ll work alongside long-term IMB missionaries to carry out the Missionary Task in some of the world’s least-reached places.

Why This Pathway?

  • Serve as an active member of an IMB missionary team for 2 years
  • Leverage your unique skills for gospel impact among the nations
  • Support a variety of strategies alongside experienced, long-term missionaries
  • Reach people in unique segments of society through your platform and presence
  • Receive full funding, housing, medical benefits, and pre-deployment training at no cost to you

What You’ll Do

  • Evangelize among the lost and disciple new believers in your community
  • Support your missionary team in leadership development and church planting efforts
  • Use your platform, whether through teaching English, sports ministry, or community development, to build gospel relationships
  • Participate in the same 7-week pre-deployment training as long-term IMB missionaries
  • Contribute to research, volunteer coordination, or other team needs as assigned
