Overview

Team Associates are self-funded missionaries who serve as active members of an IMB missionary team. They engage in the Missionary Task as they are able. This is done through their job, as retirees, or as ministry professionals. They come alongside long-term missionaries to strengthen and expand the team’s overall church planting strategies. While the Missionary Task may not be their primary focus, Team Associates leverage their unique platform to make a meaningful gospel impact in new segments of society.

What You’ll Do

  • Engage in the Missionary Task alongside an IMB missionary team as your platform allows
  • Use your vocation or life stage to open doors in communities long-term missionaries may not reach
  • Contribute to the team’s broader evangelism, discipleship, and church planting efforts
  • Attend a weekend or 7-week pre-deployment training before deployment
  • Serve in a role shaped by your unique skills, context, and the needs of your specific team
