Thank you for sacrificially giving and faithfully interceding for South Asian people. In a region where 99.9% of people are lost, your gifts train biblically grounded church leaders to take on the tasks of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. You help develop quality curriculum and fund scholarships for students at one of the few seminaries in this country.
The ripple effect of investing in theological education shows. Rashmi* and his wife, Pushpa*, are trusted national partners leading a network of churches in this country. Because of your prayers and gifts, they are also attending seminary. Both are learning about God’s Word, how to teach it to others, the importance of the Great Commission, and how to plant healthy, biblically grounded churches. Rashmi and Pushpa share what they are learning with those in their church network, who, in turn, pass on these Christian fundamentals to their congregations. Your generosity is multiplying as it impacts thousands.
Please join us in prayer.
We are immensely grateful for your generosity! Your prayers and gifts address the world’s greatest problem: lostness. Thank you for partnering with us in this ministry.

Thank you so much for your generous support of our team and Christians in South Asia. Your gifts provide scholarships to low-income students studying to become pastors, church planters, and lay leaders in an area where 99.9% of the people are lost.
Here is a testimony from one of the students you help send to seminary:
“For our heart transformation, we study subjects like ‘Growing with God,’ where my wife learns about her own inner things, including forgiveness and managing conflicts. As a couple, we were truly blessed by the silence, solitude, and day with the Lord, where we spent an entire day with God and His Word. Through these events and others, God is helping us to grow spiritually and transforming our weak areas.
“Finally, this seminary teaches us many ministry skills, and we learn to use them in our culture. Moreover, we are blessed by the commitment to weekly prayer, chapel, and other spiritual growth and prayer moments, even during busy student study schedules, which are priorities here. Thank you so much, and we truly appreciate your prayers for our family and for me. God bless you!“
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and partnership! Your prayer and gifts are genuinely making a difference through this project! Please prayerfully consider making another gift to support this ministry in 2023 so we can send more students to develop the skills to become effective pastors and leaders in their churches and communities.
I am an adjunct professor at a Bible college here in South Asia, teaching History of the Reformation, Theology of Mission, and Servant Leadership. It has been a great joy to build of the church here, which is in dire need of theological education.
I have seen firsthand how these courses have benefited the work of the IMB. As a class assignment, I asked the students to start their own evangelistic Bible study. One student, Byron*, invited his Muslim friend to the Bible study and he attended. To Byron’s surprise, his Muslim friend texted him the next day, saying, “Please let me know when you are meeting for Bible study again!”
The Empowering Theological Education fund provides the resources for South Asians who sense God’s leading to ministry and desire to deepen their knowledge of the Bible but cannot afford it. Martin, one such South Asian student who has received financial assistance, told me this about his experience at the Bible college:
“I am connecting with many people and becoming acquainted with many themes that are helping to build me up for the ministry of Christ. The course, “Spiritual Formation,” is a remarkable subject, and it helps me to realize the importance of spiritual growth for living with God. It makes me ask myself, “How can we prepare ourselves for the spiritual battle that began in the Garden of Eden and still going on?” I am trying to establish a relationship with God and make it a habit to listen to His voice.
“The classes also help my work as I try to encourage my other coworkers. Our Happy Faces Fellowship online activities run every Thursday and I also share my experience and encourage others to work for Christ and to build His kingdom in our communities. I have been able to teach dozens of students and help them have a deeper understanding of the Good News that salvation has come.”
Thank you for giving students like Martin the opportunity to grow in knowledge of this Good News through your generous gifts to the Empowering Theological Education fund!

South Asian peoples live within a kaleidoscope of colors, a cacophony of sounds, and a buffet of flavors that ignite the senses and warm the soul. This enigmatic region is the birthplace of four world religions but is also home to the world's highest concentration of lostness.
The 1.6 billion people of South Asia are concentrated in an area less than half the size of the USA. Muslims and Hindus comprise the overwhelming religious majority. Every week 225,000 South Asians die, most without Christ. Yet there are glimmers of gospel hope. Through the work of local Christians and foreign workers God is bringing South Asians to faith in Jesus, the church is growing, and stories of Christ’s redeeming power are emerging from the field.
More than a billion South Asian eyes are searching for hope. Pray for long-term workers and their local partners who share the love of Christ daily. Ask God to use their efforts to create a movement of his Spirit across the city and throughout countries and islands of South Asia!
