About This Project
DL Moody once said, “Every great movement of God can be traced to a kneeling figure.” For decades, guests from around the world have visited this strategically located prayer center, each praying for God to move in some way. Many come to be still before the Lord in prayer; all leave hearing that, through Christ, they can have the access to God they so desire!
Inside the prayer center, visitors experience a peaceful interactive prayer space with Scripture verses and activities focused on praise, confession, and intercession. The gardens offer additional space, opportunity, and encouragement to pray for the nations. Upkeep and maintenance are required to ensure the safety and comfort of the thousands of guests who visit each year. Your gift will provide the resources necessary to keep this vibrant center open so that the great work of prayer can continue in this city. We invite you to support this eternity-changing work today!
“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.” -Oswald Chambers
Why direct giving matters
Giving directly to a missionary team helps fund the specific, on-the-ground needs your missionaries care deeply about—needs that aren't covered by CP and LMCO alone.
The ongoing war has led to a drastic reduction in the number of guests to the prayer center. But God continues to work in this region through your generosity.
Recently, a large South African church concluded its tour of the region at the center for an extended time of prayer.
Johannas*, a middle-aged man with the group, shared that he was overwhelmed by the Spirit of the Lord as he walked across the prayer center grounds.
He had “walked where Jesus walk” and now, his walk with Jesus would never be the same. Praise God for using the prayer center to impact Johannas’ spiritual journey!
In addition to occasional large groups who tour the area and then come to pray, couples and small groups of pilgrims also make their way to the prayer center. Most commonly, we see local believers and other gospel partners coming to pray.
God is also using the beauty of His creation to draw in those who are not yet Christians. They are curious to see the eye-catching gardens and the beautiful old building. We show them around, dropping gospel seeds along the way.
Your gifts and prayers for this ministry plant gospel seeds for guests to the center and help Christians like Johannas and countless other pilgrims in their faith journeys.
Please join us in prayer:
Thank you for your partnership in this ministry. Your faithfulness is impacting lives for God’s glory!

Ye Rim* stayed in the chapel the entire day—sometimes kneeling, sometimes seated, but constantly in prayer.
Like you, Ye Rim followed the Lord’s leading, even when His instructions were difficult.
God called her to pray for the people groups associated with the ancient Silk Road, just like He called you to give to the Strategic International Prayer Center ministry. Perhaps God’s call required significant sacrifice from you as well.
She came back the next day to the Center, praying, reading Scripture, and quietly singing hymns throughout the Deuteronomy 8:8 Garden.
Returning day after day to intercede before the Lord at the Prayer Center, Ye Rim sensed a clear charge from God to pray for one specific Asian nation.
She questioned herself, her hearing, and even the Lord. Did she misunderstand? Was she focusing on herself? But the answer from God was unambiguous.
That evening, as she walked through the local market, she came across an art piece of the nation God called her to pray for. She purchased it and brought it back to the Prayer Center. It now serves as an invitation to other guests to join Ye Rim in prayer.
Recently, we received an email from Ye Rim. She wrote about her deepening involvement with those sharing Christ in Asia and how God had answered many prayers.
“It was in the Prayer Center that I experienced what it means for the Holy Spirit to put words in my mouth to pray again and again. The Prayer Center will always have a special place in my heart and in my journey of intercession for Asia and for the nations.”
Thank you for faithfully following God’s leading as Ye Rim did. Your generosity met her obedience, and God used you to answer her prayers.
Please continue partnering with us in prayer:
Your gifts provide a physical place for believers to obey Scripture’s teaching to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and opportunities to share the peace of Christ with many. Thank you for your faithfulness and encouragement!
