Our team works in an incredibly diverse city where every world religion and every country in Africa is represented. Our prayer is to see at least 200,000 people follow Jesus in a place that is becoming increasingly lost and to equip local churches to own the missionary task through training in evangelism, discipleship and healthy church formation. Your prayers and gifts will help us make Jesus known throughout the city and beyond. We want to see a gospel-focused church planted in every neighborhood and for church networks and associations to be trained to send missionaries from Johannesburg to the nations.
We are finding people from many nations interested in studying God’s Word. One Bible study we host has people from seven countries! Another Bible study is about to multiply into two-to-three more studies. Every week, there are conversations with people from all over Africa. God has provided places of peace where we find persons of peace drawn to Him and His Word. Join us in this crucial work!
Gifts toward specific efforts show us what you are excited about. Occasionally, we may redeploy gifts as we follow God's leading with urgent opportunities or changing international contexts. Any gifts received beyond the goal go toward a similar project or our team support.
National Church Trainings
Your gift will help us host and train leaders from seven churches from outside our city and then subsequently assist with training their congregations in evangelism and discipleship over a four-week period.
Small Business Consultation
Help us host a small business consultation to build relationships and support bi-vocational pastors in transient communities.
Advancing the Gospel throughout the City
Our team travels a lot as we share the gospel, disciple new believers, nurture churches, and develop leaders. We're here to ensure everyone has access to the good news and the training they need to play their part in building God’s kingdom! Your gift helps fund fuel and public transportation costs for our team’s ministry so the gospel will continue to go out in as many Johannesburg communities as possible.
Leadership Trainings
Your gift will be used to train local ministry leaders in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. We will also provide each trainee with the resources necessary to engage in these activities in their area of the city.
Heart Language Bibles
More than 200 languages are spoken across the city of Joburg. Your gift will enable us to provide many people with a Bible in their heart language as we meet with them for discipleship.
Sports Camp
Help us facilitate a quality sports camp in conjunction with a volunteer team, reaching out to children and their families living in the inner city. This camp will allow us to enter in to new spaces and connect with people with whom we don't normally interact.
Backyard Bible Club
Your gift will make it possible for our team to host a backyard Bible club in an underprivileged neighborhood and reach out with the gospel to families and parents who are economically disadvantaged.
Evangelism Tools and Resources
Provide resources to help local believers learn evangelism and discipleship tools and encourage them to participate in Bible studies.
Discipleship Groups
Your gift will make it possible for us to meet with and provide resources such as books and notebooks to participants of regular Bible studies across the city.
National Partner Meetings
Your gift will help us host meetings with our ministry partners across the city to provide encouragement and accountability.
This year, you helped our team host evangelism trainings across the city, empowering the local church here to reach the nations at their doorstep!
At the Soweto event, Pastor Mfundo said, “Before this training, I thought that it was only the pastor’s responsibility to evangelize, but now I know that it is the responsibility of every Christian.”
You lifted a burden off Pastor Mfundo’s shoulders and helped him equip his congregation to share their faith.
In another neighborhood, the training resonated deeply with Pastor Mlu. “I am in awe of what God did today,” he said. “I’m thankful to learn this simple tool to share the gospel. Training church leaders for today. Over the past year, our team has hosted weekend conferences on critical topics for growing churches, including The Healthy Church, Healthy Church Leaders, and Evangelism. Many pastors and leaders from various churches throughout the city attended. Because of your gifts, we provided resource materials for those in attendance and their congregations. In addition, you provided food for meals for the attendees during the training, which minimized their out-of-pocket expenses.
