In the Horn of Africa, millions of people are spread across hundreds of miles of cities and villages. Due to the rugged terrain, security concerns and limited Christian witness, most people live and die without ever hearing the gospel. But our God is faithful to His promises, and He has not forgotten the nomadic people in the Horn of Africa. He is at work today, and we invite you to join our team in reaching these precious people.
Empowered by the Spirit, we are leveraging technology to engage the very edges of civilization, proclaiming the gospel in boldness and identifying the people God is calling to Himself.
Your gift will fund social media outreach, translation projects, and community ministry to displaced and neglected people. Each ministry allows our team to expand our efforts and see lives transformed by the gospel. Through our gospel ads and Scripture videos, thousands of people are encountering the message of Jesus Christ, many for the first time.
Those who want to know more use the contact information in the ad to talk with a local believer who is trained to engage seekers with the gospel. We also train our national partners to meet one-on-one with those seekers who continue to show that the Spirt is drawing them into the kingdom. Your support will enable us to continue pushing gospel ads and videos to the web, train our online moderators and provide travel money for local believers to meet with those who are seeking to follow Christ.
Community ministry outreaches help us meet new people and give us and our partners legitimacy in their eyes as we help them with basic needs such as food for their families and clean water. We also host youth development projects, offer education classes and assist with small businesses.
Along with our local partners, we are building relationships to disciple new believers, planting healthy churches and developing local leaders who can spearhead this gospel work into new villages and towns.

Gifts toward specific efforts show us what you are excited about. Occasionally, we may redeploy gifts as we follow God's leading with urgent opportunities or changing international contexts. Any gifts received beyond the goal go toward a similar project or our team support.
National Partner Training
We have the honor to teach African church members how to participate in the missionary task. For many, that means learning to evangelize, disciple, plant churches, and develop leaders in their home communities. Others use these skills to engage a near-culture people group in another part of the country. It costs $22 dollars a day for a 5-day training. Your gift will help to train 210 people a year.
Africans Taking the Gospel to Hard-to-Reach Places
Our local partners faithfully go to remote villages to engage the lost. Often, they need help supplementing travel expenses such as bus tickets, plane tickets, car fuel, food, and housing. Each trip costs $1,100. Your gift will provide for one trip every other month for a year to these hard-to-reach places.
Disciple-Making Resources for Church Communities
We are thankful that the Bible has been translated into local languages and for the IMB to provide funding for those to be printed and distributed. Your gift will help provide an additional $1000 a month to translate, print, and distribute theologically sound to fellowships and communities of believers, helping them more effectively study the Bible, grow in Christ, gain vision for ministry, and strategize how to reach their communities.
Sending Horn-of-Africa Peoples as Missionaries
We want to train, encourage, and empower indigenous missionaries as they go to reach under-engaged people groups in their country and surrounding countries. Local churches provide the basic living needs of these missionaries, but we would like to offer trainings and ministry-project funding. We currently partner with 105 African missionaries. Your gift will help provide $2,000 dollars per month to encourage ministry projects.
Starting Indigenous Businesses
We want to provide seed money to start businesses that support indigenous believers who are living in extremely hard-to-reach areas. Many believers lose their jobs because of their faith in Muslim or Orthodox areas, and they have to move to larger towns and cities to find work. Starting their own businesses will allow them to stay in areas with little gospel presence. Your gift will help us offer $5,000 grants to start 10 businesses.
School Scholarships
To attend school in Africa, students need transportation to school, uniforms, school supplies, and books. We want to encourage children and youth to be in school, but many need financial assistance with these school-related costs. Whether it is a child without parents or a family with financial need, your gift will help underwrite $35 dollars a month to scholarship 50 students each year.
Marriage-Training and Disciple-Making Retreats
Our key national trainers often live in separate towns, with a maximum of two living in the same town. Your gift will help provide a $1,000 budget per family to bring them together once or twice each year for marriage and disciple-making retreats. We want these families to find refreshment, fellowship, and training to encourage their work for long-term health and multiplication.
Single mothers like Kassa* no longer have to feel alone and powerless in raising their children.
Your generosity is ministering to families, sharing the gospel with unreached people groups (UPGs), and improving the lives of women like Kassa.
Local believers are visiting homes, like Kassa’s, caring for people as if they were family. They share Bible stories and food, offer job-skills training, and provide children’s programs.
Through these kinds of intentional outreach initiatives, believers are demonstrating Jesus’ love through their acts of service to other UPGs.
As people feel cared for, they are open to hearing the gospel, and many believe. Christians can distribute Bibles, disciple new believers, and then go together into the next communities.

Thank you for praying and giving to enable us to reach nomadic people in the Horn of Africa for Christ. Due to the rugged terrain, security concerns and limited Christian witness, most people live and die without ever hearing the gospel. Your faithful intercession and generosity undergird social media outreach, translation projects, and community ministry to displaced and neglected people. Through our gospel ads and Scripture videos, thousands of people are encountering the message of Jesus Christ, many for the first time.
God and His people offer physical and spiritual hope in an area plagued by debilitating poverty! Our team held several food distribution events this year because of your gifts. At a single event, we offered food and the gospel to 300 people while a local fellowship partnered to provide clothes and school supplies. As a result, seven people accepted Christ! Local believers are following up with encouragement and discipleship.
This summer, we offered two camps for young people, allowing them to hear the gospel and encounter God’s love through relationships with believers. Many in our country do not know a single Christian. The first was a soccer camp. We taught new skills, ran drills, and played and played and played soccer. The joy on kids’ faces as they saw their abilities improve and experienced caring adults, made the hours in the sun worthwhile. The second summer camp was a Vacation Bible School. Learning stories from God’s Word, working on crafts, playing games in recreation, and singing songs about the Lord helped these kids understand they have a loving Heavenly Father with a plan for their lives.
