About This Project
Tommi and Maria met each other and Jesus in art school in Finland. The Lord
confronted their idolatry and godless lifestyle and showed them the value of his
surpassing beauty on the cross. They wandered into a church plant led by an IMB
missionary and now, ten years and four children later, Tommi is studying towards
a master’s degree in theology at Agricola Theological Institute and pastoring
the same church plant.
“Studying with ATI is a great example of a truly interactive and
character-shaping academic community,” Tommi said about his theology courses.
“It is face-to-face small-group learning at its best.” By partnering with ATI,
you invest in students such as Tommi. Your gift will develop quality curriculum
and fund scholarships for students. The goal is to prepare men and women for the
ministry of the Word of God so that God’s people can be nourished by his Word
and his holy name be glorified throughout Finland and to the ends of the earth.
ATI is committed to developing pastors who take that vision to their new Finnish
congregations.
Books and resources faithful to the Scripture are lacking in the Finnish
language. As part of developing a biblically faithful curriculum, your support
will help create, translate, publish, and distribute books that are rooted in
solid, biblical theology. Your partnership with ATI will shape the future of
evangelical Christianity in Finland by establishing a new generation of pastors
in the truths of God’s Word. With your support, they will build up the local
church in Finland to be faithful witnesses of the Lord Jesus, reaching from
their communities and the end of the earth. Give today!
Why direct giving matters
Giving directly to a missionary team helps fund the specific, on-the-ground needs your missionaries care deeply about—needs that aren't covered by CP and LMCO alone.
In the next five years, a globalization goal of all IMB workers is to mobilize 500 local believers to become global missionary partners serving on IMB teams.
