Residency: Central Asia Student Outreach - 6 MONTHS

Description

Are you ready to share your lives and the gospel with Central Asian university students? We are seeking motivated individuals who are eager to reach the unreached by sharing their lives and faith. You will study the local language part-time at a university and help teach conversational English to students on campus.

Your role will be to build friendships with students and take advantage of opportunities God provides to share spiritual truths. Find creative ways to develop relationships, such as organizing classes, trips to the mountains, game nights, sporting events, etc. During your last two months, you will use your experiences to help lead the summer teams from the States to reach local students with the Good News.

You will work alongside full-time workers who will offer discipleship, encouragement, and training. You can be part of reaching the next generation of Central Asian peoples.

Other Requirements

Residency – An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1.
