Description

Find the gems, share the gospel, and disciple the believers! The global Deaf community lacks access to the gospel! You can change that! Of the almost 80 million Deaf globally, few have seen the gospel in their language and most lack access to Scripture in their heart language. Drink coffee, play badminton, sip on tea, eat rice, ride a monorail, say ‘yes’ to invitations to join the Deaf in their daily lives. Bring your skills, passions, and hobbies and use them to do life with the Deaf of Southeast Asia.

Whether you are Deaf or hearing, fluent in sign language or know none at all, you can join us for a semester and be a part of God’s amazing work in bringing the gospel to the Deaf throughout Southeast Asia. If you have a heart to reach the lost, come join our team in bringing hope to the hopeless.

Other Requirements

Residency – An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Residents are trained together with their cohort at orientation before deploying to their place of service. Residents then return all together for debrief at the end of their term. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1. For active members of Southern Baptist churches, travel to/from Orientation/Debrief, lodging and food during orientation/debrief, travel to/from the field, and emergency insurance is covered. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset travel-related costs and may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general.
