You will work alongside a young but experienced family and their team of national partners, to engage university students through ESL clubs, and small group bible studies. In addition, you will assist in mapping the most lost segments of the city. Through your mentorship you will get to know the city well: its geographic, social, cultural, and religious layers. Together as a team you will prayerfully consider how to engage those who have never heard the true Gospel.
Residency – An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1.
