Ruth Womack holds one of a set of twins staying at Kersey Children’s Home in Ogbomosho, Nigeria. When Ruth began working at Kersey in 1955, it was an orphanage. Over time, she changed the focus of the facility to offer nutrition training to those caring for motherless babies and parents of malnourished children. The goal: enable them to grow up healthy in their own homes and culture. By 1981 she was treating 300 babies a year.
