Central Asian Peoples
Turks of Central Anatolia and the Black Sea Coast

(an-uh-TOHL-yuh) - Last month, you were asked to continue praying for Amy. She has been attending church for over a year, including Sunday gatherings and Wednesday Bible studies. She is professing faith and desires to be baptized and become a member of a local church. However, recently she has been caught up in some conflict in the church. Please pray that Satan will not gain a foothold in this church and that the members in conflict will seek unity and restoration in their relationships.

European Peoples
Summer Olympics 2024

The face of Europe is changing. Many European Olympians represent countries that have become home though their family roots stem from non-European countries. As national European populations decrease, people are moving into Europe from the global south for work, school, opportunity, and asylum. European peoples are also mobile as they shift from East to Western Europe in search for economic stability and possibility. The generations that follow these movements become assimilated into their host countries but remain attached and aware of the cultural norms and practices of their heritage. These generations are critical to gospel movement throughout Europe. Pray for open hearts and salvations among this bridge generation. Pray for the believers from the global south who are making a home in Europe to become harvest laborers who will cross-culturally engage the peoples and places around them.

(OO-tar pra-DESH) - Pray that the good news will ring out from every corner of the Muzaffarnagar district in the state of Uttar Pradesh! Pray that as people put their trust in the Son, they will be gathered into churches that will glorify Him and seek to make His name known to those who have not yet heard.

North African and Middle Eastern Peoples
North Africans in City of Broken Colors, Europe

In June, you were asked to pray for Nahla, a young North African woman who has seen God answer prayers about a job situation. Give thanks to God for bringing her back to the city where she has family and friends. God has continued to answer prayers for Nahla, as she has been able to start meeting regularly to study the Bible with her believing friends! Ask God to reveal Himself to her through these conversations, and pray for her to see His character and love for her clearly through His Word. Pray that Nahla will realize her own need for a Savior, see Jesus as the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and have the courage to respond in faith.

Muslims of Northeast India

Using a design drawn with henna, a plant-based dye, believers in Northeast India are able to share four key sacrifice Bible stories with the Muslim women around them. Since this henna storytelling tool was developed, many Muslim women have come to faith and have desired baptism. There are women believers in three different places who have recently expressed an interest in "henna story" training. Please pray for confidence in the Lord for the believers, for fruit for these women, and for receptive hearers of the gospel message.

(kohl-KAH-tah) - Please pray for Zara, a young woman who is a new believer. She is from a Muslim family and is facing conflict within her family for following Jesus, including from her husband. At the same time, she is growing in her faith and is unwilling to stop going to the church that meets in a home in her area. She is a light in a dark place. Pray for perseverance as she trusts in Jesus to be her sustainer and protector, and pray that she will continue to be bold. Please intercede for her husband and the rest of their family, asking that they will listen and have soft hearts, resulting in repentance and belief in Jesus for salvation.

Sub-Saharan African Peoples
Kampala, Uganda

(kahm-PAH-lah) - "There continues to be a lot of conversation among church leaders in Kampala and elsewhere in Uganda on the topic of leadership development," writes a Kampala Urban Team member. "Healthy leaders can be used of God to help churches become and remain healthy. These same leaders will be the ones who plant more churches and then train others to do the same. Recently, two pastors shared with me about their burden for training leaders. They are actively developing curriculum and are looking for people to be trainers. Please ask God to provide the curriculum, trainers, and resources needed to maximize the number of leaders being trained both in Kampala and throughout Uganda. Pray that the overflow of this fruit will be healthy churches, more churches planted, and missionaries sent out from Uganda churches. Pray for endurance for the trainers and trainees."

Human Needs Mexico

Please pray for the National Baptist Convention of Mexico as they have their annual meeting on July 15-19. Ask that this will be a time of refreshment and encouragement for the work that has happened in Mexico over this past year. Pray for all the details that need to take place for the meal that International Mission Board personnel will host for leadership and the pastors who are working on the borders. They write: "We would love to be an encouragement to them that the work will continue to strengthen and that more churches will 'catch the vision' to work with refugees, migrants, and displaced peoples."

Digital Ministries, Sino-Mongolian Peoples, Asia

Pray for believers who are taking courses online. These students often live in areas where there is limited opportunity to attend live classes to grow in their faith. Pray for those who have registered for the digital courses to be able to complete them and then to implement what they are learning to grow in their personal faith, which also helps them to be better leaders.

Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)

The Congo Team asks you to pray as a group of Congolese partners leads a workshop on false prophets on July 15-18. They write: "Our team has identified this as a great need because people do not realize that this is a danger. If a person calls himself or herself a pastor, then they are listened to and trusted. The first part of the workshop will be a call to discernment, and then practical steps will be given on learning how to identify if something is consistent or not with the whole counsel of Scripture."

Central Asian Unengaged Peoples

The Khunsari people are located primarily in rural areas around Khansar, near Esfahan, Iran. Iranian tourists are attracted to the area for its beautiful mountains and springs. Most Khunsari make a living from farming and herding livestock, but rural life in Iran can be challenging. Adequate healthcare and education are limited, while unemployment is high, and the long-lasting economic crisis in Iran has taken its toll on agricultural living. Many Khunsari leave the area, and their families, for economic opportunities in the bigger cities of Iran. There are no Bible resources in their language and no known believers among them. Their greatest need is access to the good news of the salvation that Jesus gives. Ask God to raise up faithful men and women to translate Scriptures into the Khunsari language, and pray for a great spiritual harvest.

The Bangingi people of Malaysia live in Sabah, on the island of Borneo. Previously known as slave traders, warriors, and seafarers, today they are businessmen, farmers, and fishermen. They were the first in Malaysia to embrace Islam, which they still follow today, mixed with animism, or the belief that the spirits of the dead are at work in the living world, need attention, and perform miracles. Though gospel materials are available, they remain oblivious to God. Will you pray for the Bangingi people to let go of traditions that enslave them and embrace the God who can set them free?
