People all over the world experience sickness and disease. The people of western Arabia are looking for the God who heals. Maryam, a young Arab woman, was looking for healing from her insomnia. She met a follower of Jesus who told her about the God "who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3 ESV). Maryam asked for prayer, and she received healing that night. She was amazed at the miracle! Pray that Maryam and others in western Arabia will seek not only physical healing but also spiritual healing. May many see the power of King Jesus.

A translation project has been going on for quite some time among the Island People. Please lift up the translators who are working diligently on the translations. Also pray for those proofreading the text, asking that they will have good eyes to catch any potential translation issues.

(JAHR-kuhnd) - The Jadupetia are a people group numbering approximately 4,900. They follow Hinduism that is intermixed with animistic practices and are predominantly agriculturalists. Among the Jadupetia, there are no known believers. Local believers have been working to reach this people group. One day while the believers were sharing with William, a Jadupetia man, he told them that he would like to follow Jesus but feared the reaction of his people. Pray for William, asking that the Lord will give him boldness to follow Jesus. Ask that his family, friends, and entire village will turn to worship Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Pray for the local believers who shared with William, asking that they will continue to remain faithful in reaching the Jadupetia.

"Pray for Taiwanese in central Taiwan who frequently venerate and pray to evil spirits. Throughout the Buddhist world, people can be found praying to idols, spirits, and all kinds of deities, seeking help in every area of life. 'For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: 'I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite" (Isaiah 57:15 ESV). Often in the Buddhist world, we hear stories of how people in desperate situations meet Christians who urge them to pray to Jesus to receive their miracle. And miracles happen! These miracles can lead to individuals and families receiving the good news of Jesus and turning away from their false gods. Pray for physical and spiritual miracles of changed lives to spread throughout Taiwan."

Jamira and a few of her friends have been spending time around a believer. When the call to prayer sounded from the mosque, Jamira was checking to see which way was north, the direction of Mecca, the city that Muslims turn toward when praying. She asked her believing friend, "Do you Christians pray to the south?" The believer told Jamira that she could pray in all directions. Jamira said, "Oh, because God is everywhere." Pray that Jamira will come to know the God who hears prayer no matter which direction a person faces. Pray that she will hear more truth and desire to study the Word.

A team from a local church recently did an outreach in a large city in South Africa. There, they met Abdul, a Muslim member of a local gang. He was the one who called out "hits" on rival gang members, and there had been several recent assassinations in the area. Abdul was suffering from a severe respiratory illness. The church members asked if they could pray for him, and he said yes. They hugged him and shared the gospel. The next week, when they returned, Abdul came running up, smiling. He looked like a different person! He shared that he was totally well and had taken no medicines. Abdul wanted more prayer and more hugs! The church members shared the gospel with him again. Ask the Father to help Abdul understand who it was who healed him physically, and pray that he can be healed spiritually, too.

(cah-TEE-oh; ooh-rah-BAH) - Thank you for praying for the Katio believers who participated in a leadership training several months ago. Please pray that they will put into practice what they learned. Ask that these believers, leaders, pastors, etc. will grow in their faith and share what they learned with those in their churches and communities.

Amy and Cynthia serve together in a nation of islands. They recently went on an expedition trip to meet an unreached people group known to live in an area 13-15 hours away from their home base city. They write: "Thank you for your continued prayer support. Grateful for the opportunity to stay in this area, we visited five villages to look for the people group. It turned out that this area is in the middle of two mines. Therefore, there are many immigrants here. We felt that the people group is very private and not very receptive to the gospel. The evangelical church we visited has more than 200 members. Although 95 percent of church members are not locals, and the church has only been established for three years, they have a strong commitment to reach the local people. Please pray for this church and those who have been baptized and are now being discipled. The church members use their work as a starting point to reach people around them. Please pray that many from this unreached people group can be reached and not only become "worshipers" but also "workers" as they join in sharing God's good news with the world.

Pray for new believers across the Western Mediterranean area! Rejoice that they have committed their lives to Christ. Pray for them to have a hunger for God's Word and for them to be ready to be bold in their newfound faith and obey in baptism despite cultural or family pressure. Ask that believers from their same language will be ready to disciple them and invest in them and that they will become evangelists and disciple makers too. Pray that families will come to know Jesus through the testimonies of these new believers.

"Did you know Toronto, Canada is considered by many to be the most multicultural city in the world? Our team has the task of focusing on reaching the 679,725 Chinese in our area. One way our four-member team is trying to do this is through digital engagement strategies. Would you pray with us that the Chinese will click on our links as they scroll through social media? Pray they will have open hearts to the gospel and that the Father will draw them to Himself. Because most of these people don't even know who Jesus is, pray that they will be curious and want to meet with us in person to learn the truth about Him. Pray also as we train up others to help us in this large task."

(CHE-chen) - "In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations" (Revelation 22:2 NKJV). Russian conquests in the 19th century, the deportation ordered by Stalin, and the Chechen wars of the 1990s and early 2000s are all points of trauma and brokenness that are not forgotten. These crimes are etched into the minds of Chechens. Ask God to bring healing in the name of Jesus to them personally so that they will be able to hope in the future healing of the nations. Pray that they will become citizens of a new kingdom where they are able to dwell with God Himself.
