Thank you for continuing to pray for the student group that has being conducting an outreach video series. Great news! Jaden, who you were asked to pray for, has believed! Please ask our Father to guide him in his new walk. Praise God for the great close relationships that are forming! Another young man, Ben, is also close to believing. Please pray for God to help Ben repent and place his trust in Jesus.
eastasiaprayer@pobox.com(sor-AH-nee) - The Sorani Kurdish believers who gather to worship together continue to have friends and relatives who want a greater understanding of what this gathering is all about. When they come, they always hear about the holiness of God, the sinfulness of man, the sacrifice of Jesus, and the need for repentance and faith. Pray that these seeds being planted will be watered, take root, and grow into maturity. May these friends and relatives be resurrected into new life.
centralasianpeoples@protonmail.com(suh-POHR-oh) - This summer, there were some vacation Bible school (VBS) programs that took place at various churches in Sapporo. Please pray for the parents and children who attended. Ask that their hearts will be softened, that their minds will dwell on the music and Bible lessons that were taught, and that the Spirit will continue to speak to their hearts. Pray for much fruit to come from these programs.
eastasiaprayer@pobox.com(chee-ang MY) - September 30 is the Northern Thailand Pregnancy Center's 3rd annual pro-life community training coined "Life Support Training." The team is excited because they will hold this year's training at their newly renovated building that God has faithfully provided in Chiang Mai. Many times, the pro-life message is a new concept to local believers. Please pray that this message is heard by many local Christian leaders in the community so that believers and churches will want to partner with the Pregnancy Center Team to help equip and empower women to choose life.

Syria is a land of many religious groups. Orthodox Christians, Protestants, and Catholics live there, worshiping in churches built in the styles with which each are comfortable. Muslim groups also abound in Syria. Though more than 70% of those are Sunni Muslims, Shiites also live in Syria. The Alawites and Druze sects are offshoots of Shia Islam, though the Shiites strongly disagree with their theology. Pray for the Shiites of Syria who have seen the effects of over 10 years of conflict: fighting, friends fleeing, inflation, a lack of daily needs. Pray that as they struggle, they will hear of God's love for them, that He desires to take away their fear and give them peace. Pray that they will accept His gift of salvation.
www.imb.org/adoptauupgOver the past month, some believers have been able to connect with a new Syrian refugee family. Please pray for Farah and her sister Aisha and the rest of their family, who have been very hospitable and open. They feel unwelcome and unloved by the people of their host country, and this is especially true for Farah's husband at his workplace. He listens attentively to gospel conversations and is not strictly practicing his Muslim faith. Aisha is navigating a difficult relationship with her husband, and they are currently separated. Pray for discernment and wise counsel for the believers as they speak into this situation, asking that they will know when and how to lovingly incorporate the message of the gospel. Pray that this family's eyes will be open to the love God has for them, and ask that believers building relationships with them will be able to love them fully and consistently. "Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, if God loved us in this way, we also must love one another" (1 John 4:10-11 CSB).
(DEL-ee) - Approximately 15% of the population of India is Muslim, so opportunities to share the good news with Muslims are everywhere. As a group of believers goes out weekly to share the gospel in the city, they are looking for those with whom they can follow up in discipleship. However, they are often able to share only once with individuals or families. Pray for those who hear the good news and then return to their villages or cities. Ask that they will remember the peace they felt when they listened to the believers tell about Jesus and seek Him personally. Pray for the believers as they continue to sow gospel seeds in that place.
southasia@imb.orgYears ago, Latifa heard the gospel. She didn't think too much of it, but the Christians she knew were kind and maintained the relationship. Now, as a mother of two and living in a tent because of the earthquake, she had some good news of her own. Not too long ago, she started considering her faith and discussed it with her sister. It turned out that her sister was a believer! Since then, Latifa has put her faith in Christ, and her sister has been discipling her. She has been sharing and growing in her faith. Pray for Latifa to be a light during this dark time. Pray that she will be grounded in the Word and seek to obey His commands out of love for Him.
(MEEKS-teks, geh-REH-roh) - "A believer named Eduardo was arrested Wednesday night by local authorities because he renounced his role as lay priest/cantor, a role that the Catholic church had paid for him to fill. He was given an enormous fine and jailed until he could pay it. On Thursday, three other believers planned to go and speak to the authorities about having him released from this unjust arrest and detainment. They assumed that they would be arrested, as well, for their actions so went prepared with blankets and their guitars. Today, one brother remains in jail, but the others were able to visit him, pray with him, and encourage him. Outside authorities are aware of the situation and are working toward his release. Please pray that this brother will be released without harm, as he has not broken any laws. Pray that the believers will be bold in speaking the truth and sharing the gospel with all they encounter. Pray also for their village, where even unbelievers are upset at this injustice and persecution. Our team is safe. We are thankful that God is at work in this place!"
Workers ask: "Please pray for a believer in our church. He is struggling in his walk with the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit to show him that he needs to be obedient about loving Christ first above anything else."
(CARE-ah-muh-jong) - Pray for the health and growth of Ngakaramoi Church. A witch doctor has caused much discouragement and spiritual oppression in the church and toward its leaders; please pray that she will come to salvation. Pray for Pastor John and his continued discipleship, asking that he will grow in his understanding of God's Word as he learns to love and serve his church. Pray for Pastor Eden and his wife, asking that they will have a mature marriage. Pray for the success of his banana plantation, and ask that the land he is planning to donate to the church will be well received. Pray for Ngakaramoi believers to be able to birth a new church successfully to reach even more Karamojong in God's timing. Intercede specifically for Pastor Mark and Pastor Saul as they prepare to lead this new church plant. Lift up Pastor Mark as he finishes up his education. Pray for his continued discipleship and growth in spiritual disciplines as he matures as a young leader. Lift up Pastor Saul and the continued health of his marriage. Pray against temptations that the evil one tries to bring his way. Also pray for his safety as he works at his security job.
