In October, you learned that Bassel, a new believer, has continued to actively share his faith among family, friends, and acquaintances. Omar, one of Bassel’s friends, has been doing the same since coming to faith. Someone with whom Omar shared was hostile to the message of the gospel and reported Omar’s acceptance of Christ. Now, both of these new brothers in Christ have undergone — and are still undergoing — persecution from officials, family members, and acquaintances. Both are now currently looking for work, having lost their jobs due to the persecution. Pray that these two brothers can get back on their feet. Praise the Father for strengthening and encouraging them, and thank Him that they both have stood by the confession of their faith in Jesus even under immense pressure and heavy cost to themselves and those they love. What a glory to Jesus! Also thank the Father that Bassel, after being released from custody, wasn’t deterred in his desire to keep sharing the good news with his friends and acquaintances. Being daily encouraged by God’s Word, pray that Bassel and Omar will faithfully abide in it and be able to meet regularly to study and pray together.
