(tuh-RAHN-toh) – More than half of Toronto’s 8 million people were born outside of Canada. It is a sprawling urban city that the world calls home, although many feel alone and isolated. Because of education, business, and refugee status, the world is coming to Toronto. This immigrant population brings over 160 languages with it and an abundance of worldviews and religions, especially Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, and Judaism. There is great opportunity to share the gospel, but this is a God-sized task. While the evangelical presence in the city is only around 3%, God is moving in wonderful ways. Prayer is of the utmost importance, as prayers can impact the lostness and change hearts! Toronto is recognized as one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. Please pray for the salvation of all the nations that are in Toronto.
