Seeing the World Clearly
A map is one tool researchers use to help visualize complex information. Well-designed maps make data easier to understand and enable us to quickly grasp global trends. A clear picture of the status of world evangelization and the location of unreached people groups is critical for good, strategic decision-making as we steward the resources God has entrusted to us.
Progress Toward Engaging Unreached Peoples
This map illustrates progress toward engaging unreached peoples. Rejoice in how the gospel has spread among many people groups and pray for those people groups that remain unreached and unengaged.
Global Status of Evangelical Christianity
The Global Status of Evangelical Christianity (GSEC) map portrays the spread of the gospel among people groups. It measures the percentage of evangelicals in a people group, their access to evangelical resources, and recent church planting activity.
Unengaged Unreached People Groups
This map shows the locations of the people groups most in need of access to the gospel. A people group is unreached when less than 2 percent of its population is evangelical Christian. A people group is unengaged when no evangelical church planting strategy is being implemented among them. The people groups on this map currently have little to no evangelical witness.
