Technology Resource Agreement
TECHNOLOGY RESOURCE AGREEMENT
I (hereinafter “User”) understand that as part of my role and volunteer service with the Company, I may be given access to Company Technology Resources (as more fully defined below). User agrees to abide by the terms below in my use of any Company Technology Resource:
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Agreement is to define and describe the ways, means, and methods by which User may use technology resources and software provided by the Company to aid in evangelizing, discipling, planting and multiplying healthy churches, and to train leaders among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God.
2. Acceptable Use
Company may provide User with access to Company technology resources, including but not limited to, Company email accounts, software, cloud storage, information technology, computer and electronic equipment, Internet, and networks/systems (“Technology Resources”). Any Technology Resources shall only be used for Company ministry purposes. User hereby agrees to use Technology Resources in the manner and to the extent authorized by the Company, including its Technology Services department. Acceptable use includes, but is not limited to, taking and implementing security precautions and measures to protect one’s account, respecting the rights of other users, avoiding actions that jeopardize the integrity and security of Technology Resources or Company personnel, and complying with all Company authorizations, prohibitions, licensing, and legal requirements. Unacceptable use includes, but is not limited to, damaging or interfering with Technology Resources, violating intellectual property laws, illegal or unlicensed downloading or use of software and files, harassment or inappropriate communication with other users, intentionally gaining or attempting to gain access to resource areas not explicitly granted to the user, and accessing or distributing perverse, obscene, or lewd content.
3. No Expectation of Privacy
User acknowledges that Technology Resources are owned by Company. User acknowledges that he/she has no expectation of privacy with the use of Technology Resources. The Company utilizes resources to monitor and supervise all access to computer equipment, computer networks, email accounts, and data repositories. The Company reserves the right to access stored computer records and communications, files, and other data stored on Company equipment/software, or sent over Company networks or servers. Such communications, files, and data are not private and may be accessed during routine system maintenance; during inspection of Company equipment; during review or monitoring of individual activity when there is a reasonable suspicion that the User is engaging in an inappropriate use; and to ensure the safeguarding of company resources.
4. Confidentiality
User acknowledges that User may learn or receive confidential information from or about Company, its personnel, and its strategies. User agrees that all such information relating to the Company’s affairs shall be kept confidential by the User. In the event of a breach of confidentiality, Company shall have the authority to take disciplinary action, up to and including termination of this Agreement, and to require User to remedy any such breach of confidentiality. The obligations set forth in this section shall survive this Agreement indefinitely.
5. Non-Employee Status
User acknowledges and agrees that User is not an employee of Company, and is therefore not entitled to pay or benefits, nor generally empowered to act as an agent of Company that could obligate Company to third parties.
6. Termination
Company reserves the right to terminate User’s access to Technology Resources at any time and for any reason.
7. User Certification
User acknowledges and agrees that: 1.) User receives these accounts, access and authorizations only for and in User’s specific role for Company; 2.) User will not use these accounts, access and authorizations for any personal use that results in income; 3.) provisioning such accounts, access and authorizations does not in any way constitute an employment relationship with the Company; and 4.) User will follow all policies regarding use of any Company accounts, access or authorizations you may be provided.
