Two years in the classroom. Two years on the field. The 2+2 Pathway is a straightforward road from seminary training to fully funded, hands-on church planting, designed for those who want to do both and waste no time getting there.

Use your career, retirement, or life experience to serve alongside IMB missionaries and reach people others cannot. As a Team Associate, your everyday platform becomes a gateway for gospel impact.

Self-Funded | Mid & Long-Term

Field Support

Your professional skills in medicine, finance, communications, and more can directly enable gospel work around the world. Field Support Missionaries serve fully funded on IMB teams, keeping missionaries focused on the mission.

Fully Funded | Mid & Long-Term

Missionary Associate

Years of ministry experience are not a consolation prize. The Missionary Associate pathway sends seasoned pastors and ministry leaders to the field as fully funded, long-term church planters, no seminary degree required.

Career Missionary

This is not a short-term assignment. A career missionary is a fully funded, lifetime church planter sent to the world’s least-reached places, starting as an apprentice and growing into the full work of planting healthy, reproducing churches.
