Taiwan is known for its world-class technology, incredible food, vibrant night markets, and, of course, bubble milk tea. Yet beneath its modern culture is a nation where fewer than 4% of people profess faith in Christ, making it one of the least-reached places in East Asia.
Spend your summer building genuine relationships and creating opportunities to share the hope of the gospel with people who may have never had a Christian friend. You’ll engage people where they naturally gather—on university campuses, through late-night sports, coffee meetups, English conversations, social events, and trips to the night market. These everyday moments open the door to meaningful conversations about life, faith, and Jesus.
You’ll be equipped and encouraged throughout the summer as you grow in evangelism, cross-cultural ministry, and your walk with Christ. If you’re ready to step outside your comfort zone and intentionally invest in others, this is an opportunity to see God at work while being transformed yourself.
Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your summer of ministry, you will return to the US for a joint debrief… sharing all God has done over the summer. Participants must commit to the entire program from orientation through debrief.
Nehemiah Teams – An 8 week summer opportunity for students over the age of 18. Nehemiah Teams train prior to service in Alabama and return to Alabama at the end of the summer for debriefing.
