The Mississippi volunteer team held a two-day clinic in a heavily populated neighborhood outside of the Florida Baptist Mission Guesthouse and saw over 400 people in two-days. Dr. Daniel Edney from Vicksburg, Miss., prays over a Haitian man he was treating who came into the clinic suffering from a 104 temperature, dehydration and some serious infections. The man was unable to get into the overflowing hospitals and the clinic was his first chance for treatment. After hours in the clinic, IVs, medicine and personal attention, the man was able to walk home feeling better. He also had medicine in hand to last him through his treatment. IMB Photo

One thousand local recipients prepare to exit the gates back into the Cité Soleil neighborhood of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, after receiving disaster relief kits from Samaritan’s Purse at the Eglise Chretienne des Cites after the devastating earthquake in 2010. American cars were imported to Cuba for around 50 years, since the early 20th century. After the Cuban Revolution, the U.S. enacted an embargo and Fidel Castro banned the importation of American goods, leading to the present, where there is an abundance of vintage and classic American vehicles still being driven in the country.

Young men in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, ask an IMB missionary for aid for their neighborhoods and communities that were devastated by an earthquake. The missionary suggested the men write down their names and the location of their community. Within minutes, a large group of men gathered, and dozens of papers were handed to the missionary, with the hope that it may bring relief to their community.
