(AWK-land) - "There was an activity for the international students to participate in a race at the beginning of May. After the activity, there was a devotional about the amazing race we can have with God. Please pray those seeds will continue to reap a great harvest and that students will still seek to learn more about God and have a desire for a relationship with Him.

Please pray for students, Micah and Jane, who are brother and sister. In March, their father died suddenly. Micah is having to make long-distance trips home to help his mother and to make several important decisions. Pray for God to comfort their hearts and bring them closer to Him during this time of grief.

(sow toh-MAY ee PRIHN-sih-pih) - Pray for Pastor Tiago and the other leaders of the Baptist Convention of São Tomé e Príncipe as they lead members of convention churches to be intentional in carrying out Jesus' Great Commission to be His witnesses, starting at home and continuing on to the ends of the earth. Pray that the Baptist churches on the island of São Tomé will focus on planting churches on the island of Príncipe and in the neighboring country of Equatorial Guinea.

(har-ee-YAH-nuh) - Please pray for the Panchkula district in the state of Haryana, India. This northernmost district has 228 villages and a large city that is also called Panchkula. Ask God to connect church planters in the area to local pastors who want to equip their existing believers to abide and make disciples as well as plant new churches in the many areas that currently have no gospel witness.

"'And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life' (Genesis 45:5 ESV). God of mercy, help believers in Taitung county to see how You are using them in their neighborhoods to preserve lives. As they share the gospel, make disciples, and shine Your light in the darkness, they are helping many people find their way to You. We pray they will find joy in each opportunity they have to share You with others. Let's pray for all of our churches to be passionate about sharing the gospel with others."

(ny-ROH-bee) - Join the Nairobi City Team in giving thanks to God as they write: "Several months ago, we started a small project called 'Refuge and Word.' We storied through the first several stories in Genesis. We focused on everyone really learning the stories and retelling them in class so we could take these stories to our friends, neighbors, and family. We then created art pieces based off each story that we learned. This was a great opportunity to connect with each other, as each student was a first-time painter. Each student felt very unsure about their artistic skills, but in the end, we were left with beautiful, hand-painted art. The participants were all refugees from the Democratic Republic of the Congo who'd been through serious trauma, but through this project, we brought a bit of hope through God's Word and art therapy. Finally, we collected all the art and booked a spot at an event to sell the art and tell stories about the project. The money went directly to each artist to help with the great needs each one has. This was our first time to try something like this. We're so thankful to the Lord for His goodness through this time!"

Around the world, God is preparing people to hear and respond to the gospel message. Selina is just one example of someone whose heart was already prepared to hear the good news when she met some believers. She had rejected the faith of her family and had been asking God to reveal Himself to her when she met some women who told her about Jesus. Selina is considering what she recently heard for the first time, and she is open to reading the Bible and learning more about Jesus. Pray for Selina and others like her whose hearts and minds are being drawn to Jesus. Ask that they will encounter believers who both proclaim the gospel and live lives worthy of it. Pray for protection from the evil one who would do all that he can to prevent Selina and others from believing and following the God of the Bible.

Please pray for a project that helps believers of an unreached people group (UPG) start small businesses. The project began in order to support believers of this UPG and assist them in establishing their own small businesses. Please pray for the endeavor and God's guidance as they help each believer. Please pray for the believers to manage their businesses in a way that glorifies God and that God will use their businesses to spread the gospel among this people group.

"The Lord is calling His people to join Him to reach the lost! Those with healthcare backgrounds are no exception. As physicians, dentists, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, etc. are called out to be a part of our field teams' strategic plans, ask that the Lord of the harvest will use them effectively to care for the needs of the patients they see and reach the lost through these mercy ministries."

Durban, South Africa

(DER-bun) - Missionary Luke Montgomery in Durban, South Africa, has been working with partners to host an evangelism and apologetics workshop in June and July. Meetings will be held every Wednesday evening at Pinetown Baptist Church beginning on June 19 and continuing through July 31. Topics will include an examination of the gospel; why we evangelize; how to address common questions and pushback from various worldviews, including African traditional religion, Hinduism, and Islam; and how to overcome our own personal barriers to evangelism. Each worldview section will be taught by someone with extensive experience doing apologetics and evangelism with people who hold that worldview. Please pray for those who attend, asking that they will be stirred by the Spirit to practice what they learn, that they will gain the confidence needed to share the gospel freely and widely, and that they will recognize and address their personal barriers to evangelizing others. Pray that the Lord will use this time to draw people from various backgrounds and communities together to reach Durban and beyond. Pray that those whom they witness to will desire to "know what this new teaching is that you are presenting" (Acts 17:19 ESV).

Awadhi Speakers of Northern India and Nepal

(uh-WAH-dee) - There are around 22,000 Barwar in India. Their primary language is Awadhi, and they practice an ethnoreligion deeply rooted in their ethnic identity. Most live in rural areas and traditionally worked as village watchmen and messengers, overseeing the work of burden carriers, bearing torches, and carrying covered chairs at weddings. Today, most of them are engaged in agriculture or work as unskilled laborers. Most Barwar people in India practice Hinduism, worshiping and serving their gods. They visit temples to offer prayers, food, flowers, and incense to them in hopes of gaining protection and benefits, but they don't have a personal relationship with their gods. Like everyone, they need the blessings and guidance that only Jesus can offer. Ask God to raise up Barwar believers who desire to know deeper truth and reach their people for Christ. Pray that God will send loving, committed believers to the Barwar to disciple them.
