If you’re exploring a future in missions, Missions Residency offers a season of deeper service. Live and serve alongside IMB missionaries for 4–13 months while growing in faith, ministry skill, and clarity about your next step.

Overview

Missions Residency is a 4–13 month cross-cultural mission experience for 18–29 year olds who want to serve alongside IMB teams while discerning a future in missions. Residents participate in strategic gospel ministry, receive intentional discipleship and training, and gain practical ministry experience that prepares them for potential mid-term (2 years) or long-term (3+ years) missionary service.

Cross cultural ministry experience

Serve as a contributing member of an IMB team engaged in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting efforts.

Intentional mentorship

Grow spiritually and develop ministry skills through guided discipleship and leadership investment.

First-class training

Receive structured training from IMB staff and missionary leaders in biblical ministry and cross-cultural service.

Logistics

From housing and flights to visas and insurance, IMB coordinates the details so you can arrive ready to focus on the mission.
