As a part of your trip orientation, you will learn about the culture in which you will be serving. One of the goals is to help you be appropriate and sensitive to the culture, which is not the same as condoning it. Remember that a judgmental attitude can interfere with the work the Holy Spirit intends to do through you. The goal of your mission trip is not to change the culture of the people you encounter, but to introduce them to Christ. For women visiting a male-dominated society, please understand that you are not there to impose your cultural and societal freedoms on the women of that culture; you are there to bring them spiritual freedom in Christ.
